Some more humor

Max Greenburg was at his favorite eatery, the Second Avenue Deli, when he called over the waiter. "Yes?" asked the busy waiter. "Are you sure you're the waiter I ordered from?" asked Max. "Why do you ask?" replied the waiter. The customer responded: "Because I was expecting a much older man by now."

(Thanks to Rabbi Shea Hecht of NY for joke)

Wow. What a profound joke. There is so much to be learned here. Sometimes we expect something to be one way, but then it turns out another way which we don't like as much. This is very similar to last week's Parasha. Moses surely expected to enter the Promised Land- he is, after all, the greatest of all prophets- but he doesn't due to the mistakes he made in the water from the rock incident.
(Although I managed to make a semi-intelligent comment to this blog, I still think that any d'var Torah type material should go on its own page.)
